Terms and Conditions

Please read the below carefully because by booking your session, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Payment policy

A downpayment of £45 is to be made upon a booked session which will only be confirmed upon receipt. The remaining will be invoiced on completion and due within one week.

Gift Vouchers

Please check your recipient is ready and willing to start decluttering and organising their home/business, to avoid purchasing an unwanted gift voucher. 

Vouchers are non-refundable and valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Booking a session is subject to availability.

You will receive a downloadable voucher image in your inbox which can be sent to the recipient along with the order number for them to quote on booking.

I service clients living in London and the surrounding areas. For recipients outside the M25 please enquire before purchasing.

Cancellation policy

Rescheduling: If you reschedule a session more than 48 hours before the start time, there is no fee. If you reschedule less than 48 hours before, the downpayment will be charged and a new downpayment made for a new session. The rescheduled session must be completed within 2 months of the original session date. For rescheduling due to COVID, please see the below section on COVID protocols.

Cancellation and refunds: If you cancel without looking to reschedule to another time the following refund policy applies. If you cancel an individual session more than 48 hours before the start time, you will be refunded 50% of the downpayment. If you cancel a session less than 48 hours before the start of the session, the full downpayment will be charged.

If you cancel or reschedule a session that has already been rescheduled once, you are not eligible for a refund. 

COVID protocols

*Updated 21st Sept 2022* I am double vaccinated and have had my booster jab. Whilst in-home services are allowed now, I take the following precautions: Washing/sterilising hands, wearing a mask for the duration of session if the client wishes, testing at any sign of symptoms. Please inform me ASAP if you or your household experience COVID symptoms or test positive and I shall do the same. In the case of a positive COVID test for either party, rescheduling a session will not incur a charge. In the (hopefully hypothetical) event of a lockdown where home visits are no longer permitted in London, we can pause sessions until we are able to resume.

Session timing and breaks 

The timing of a session ( typically four hours) is pre-agreed between you and I. As the end of your session approaches, I will remind you of this and wrap up the session. If you and I both would like to extend the session and are available to do so, extra time will be charged at the hourly rate of £45.

If a session spans 7 hours, a 20 minute meal break will be counted within the session time. Timings are agreed between you and I, either in advance or at the start of the session. It is important to maintain your energy levels and work at the pace that you are comfortable with so additional breaks are taken as you require and are counted within the session time. 

Insurance

I will treat your home and your possessions with utmost care and respect. In the case of any direct or consequential loss or damage of your possessions, I cannot be held liable. The Inner Space holds Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure you have appropriate insurance for your possessions. 

Third party products and services

I may provide you with recommendations and/or website links to additional products and services from third parties. Examples include storage products and recycling services. I cannot be held liable or responsible for any direct or consequential loss or damage resulting from the products and services I recommend.

Removal of discarded items

I cannot be held liable or responsible for any items that are discarded. Whilst I can provide recommendations on where to sell, recycle and dispose your items, I am unable to provide valuations or take any items to the tip. I am happy to take items to charity.

Working conditions

Because one-to-one tidying sessions require your concentration, it is strongly recommended that young children, family members, pets and other sources of distraction are not present during sessions. If you are unsure whether something or someone will be a distraction for you, please discuss this with me ahead of your session.

If I consider the working area to be inaccessible or unsafe, I receive the right to cancel the session without refund.

Travel charges

Travel within London is not charged but locations outside London will incur an additional travel charge of 45p per mile. Parking charges will be invoiced but discussed with you first. I will always try to find the best parking rates and deals.

Photography and testimonials

I like to take before and after photographs to demonstrate and celebrate the client’s journey. Photography or videography from client sessions will not be shared on The Inner Space website or social media without a client’s prior consent. 

Any testimonials or feedback that clients provide will not be shared on The Inner Space’s website or social media without the client’s prior and express consent. 

Confidentiality

I will keep all client information confidential, both business and personal, except in exceptional and specific circumstances where we are obliged by law to disclose such information. Irrespective of who instructs us or pays for our services, I will always maintain the confidentiality of the client; that is the person with whom we are working and who is receiving the benefit of the services and professional help. I will never divulge any client information to third parties without your consent.
